Small Diet Changes That Your Body Needs

As said by Mahatma Gandhi, “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.” True indeed. A healthy and fit body is real wealth indeed.

Let us take for instance, that you are a millionaire but you are suffering form innumerable diseases because of what goes inside your body in the form of food and also because of lack of exercise. Would you consider yourself wealthy? No, you won’t.

Health is like money, we never have a true value of it until we lose it.

So here are 7 small diet changes that your body needs to remain fit and healthy:

1. Drink at Least 3 Liters of Water Daily:  Our adult body is made up of 60% water approximately. And most of this water in our body is contained in our cells. In fact our billions of cells must have water to live.  Water again helps in digesting our food easily too and it keeps you feeling fresh and clean within.

2. Break-up With Aerated Drinks and Sodas: These beverages are fully loaded with calories you don’t want. Mostly, they also trigger your craving for sweet things. And more sweet food you consume means more amount of calories in your body. And it turns you from FIT to FAT.

3. Eat Frequent Small Meals: Having 3 heavy meals a day isn’t effective for your body. It faces difficulty in digesting what you put in altogether when your hunger is at its peak. So, to avoid this problem, have frequent small meals. This makes you feel full and you don’t jump into food as soon as you see it.

4. Lesser Fried Foods: It is best to avoid fried foods. These aren’t healthy option for your body. And if you see you can’t avoid it all at once, lessen its intake and over a period of time you will see that it is no more appealing to you. It is then that your body will thank you for your decision.

5. Have a Colourful Platter: I am not asking you to eat colours. Jokes apart, load you plate with different fruits and veggies. These colourful foods are appealing to your eyes and has rewarding benefits for your body. Try to have a nutrient rich diet and it will benefit you well.

6. Get in Some Form of Physical Activity: When you are done with all that eating, just go for some physical activity. It can be anything: walking, jogging, running, hitting the gym, playing badminton, basketball etc. Whatever it is, keep moving.

7. Sleep: You need to have adequate sleep to have a fit and healthy body. A minimum of 6 hours of sleep is required for your body to carry out its internal activities in the way it wants.

Now that you know everything that your body wants is so simple and easy, just go and get doing. Have a happy and healthy day ahead.
