Movie Review:

The story of the movie is adapted from 2003 released Telugu movie ‘Okkadu’, which was a huge hit starring Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla in the lead roles. In the starting of 2015, the movie is thus released with the name Tevar in its Hindi version. The lead roles are played by Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.

The movie depicts the story of a young boy from Agra named Pintoo. The boy considers himself to be a superhero. He tries to help everybody in time of trouble or distress. On his trip to Mathura he meets a beautiful girl named Radhika.Radhika was humiliated by the villain of the movie Manoj Bajpayee. He tries to help out the innocent girl and stands against the villain. Later he realizes that Manoj Bajpayee if forcing Radhika to marry her and that’s the reason for her running away from home. The boy tries to save Radhika from all odd situations and finally like every typical Bollywood masala falls in love with the girl.

The debutant director Amit Sharma tried to infuse some new twist or turns to the story, but the story seemed monotonous and a bit lengthy. It is a typical Bollywood masala, where boy falls in love with a girl and then fights will the villain to get back his true love. There is nothing new in the story and the climax of the movie is quite predictable. It is a typical commercial movie with a macho man hero, a wicked villain and a plot set in the areas of UP. The action sequences are greatly captured, but again it seemed a bit lengthy and unnecessary. Manoj Bajpayee is a great performer and played a perfect villain.

An overstretched climax sequence and the length second half completely makes the movie disgusting and not a worth watching. Though some parts of the movie is enjoyable, but the climax irritates the viewers. The storyline is not strong enough to grab the attention for the audiences for about 2.5 hours.
