Movie Review:

Khoobsurat is the remake version of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s comedy flick Khoobsurat, whose leading pairs were beautiful and sizzling diva Rekha and Rakesh Roshan. The upcoming movie is directed by talented director Shashank Ghosh. The producers of the movie are Rhea Kapoor,Anil Kapoor and UTV movies. The leading casts of the movie are style icon Sonam Kapoor and Pakistan based actor Fawad Khan. This movie has also been promoted by the Disney pictures; hence the promotional events are grand. Pakistani actor Fawad Afzal Khan has been debuting in the Bollywood industry through this upcoming flick.

The movie talks about the dream of the girl, played by Sonam Kapoor. But the major scenes of the movie are just not worth mentioning. Shashank could not reach up to the expectation of the viewers at all. The scenes looked clumsy and the roles were not completely justified. The prince and the royal family just seemed to move to and fro in their big royal house. The character of Kiron Kher as Sonam Kapoor’s Mother was also a bit monotonous. The same type of role has already been depicted by Kiron Kher in numerous other movies. Even the character played by Prosenjit Chatterjee as Sonam Kapoor’ father had no major role. He just had to keep quiet and listen to his wife every time. A small role of common friend was played by Cyrus Sahukar, but he too had a very small appearance in the movie. Ratna Pathak played the role of Fawad’s mother and her role was a quite good and she was able to depict the character of a completely rigid and strict royal queen. There were lots of expectation with this forthcoming movie, but it could only reach to a certain level of appreciation. The leading pair of the movie looked quite sizzling together, but their chemistry could not earn that much applause from the audience. Now coming to the songs of the movie, we could also rate it to be average. The popular songs of the movie are ‘Enginee ki Seeti’ and ‘Abhi to Party Shuru hui hain’. The soundtrack of the movie is enjoyable and full of fun.

Though some the characters look a bit haphazard and clumsy and could not match the situations. But there was great humor added through some mind blowing dialogues. As we all know that Kiron Kher being a master of comic timing, has successfully delivered some dialogues, which are simply going to make you roll on the floors. So, don’t give it a miss and watch the love story of a princess and the princess in KHOOBSURAT.
