Movie review: Finding Fanny revolves about the love story of Fanny Fernandez. The movie is completely based on the life of Fanny; hence the movie title is appropriately chosen as Finding Fanny. The movie story depicts a road trip of five unknown people who met each other on their way to the journey and all gets involved in finding Fanny Fernandez. A man, who is in search of his past love ‘Fanny’, wants to meet her desperately in the last years of his life. The love of his life is Fanny. But he has no clue, whether his soul mate Fanny is dead or alive. In his searching quest of finding Fanny, he is accompanied by four other people and the story of their journey begins. Along their way of the journey, all the people get lost in their trip and it leads to a trip of amusement and discovery. The road trip is shot around different places of Goa and the story is completely based on Goan culture and their lifestyle.

One night, the old man named Ferdie, who lived in Pocolim, discovers a handwritten letter from his love of his life Stefannie Fernandez (Fanny).The letter had been written by Fanny and she has admitted that she loved Ferdie very much. But all these years Ferdie thought that Fanny loved somebody else and accepted that Fanny had rejected him. But this letter brings back his feelings of love. After 46 years of his life, the man realizes that he has lost the love of his life. So he decides to find his soul mate Fanny and admit that he also loved her. The story starts from the search of Fanny Fernandez. The village trip has been full of fun and excitement. On his road trip, he meets four other people. And the journey becomes more exciting and adventurous. The four colorful characters make the road trip more fun. The four people joining Ferdie are a young virgin widow (Deepika), a mechanic boy (Arjun), an artist and a self obsesses lady (Dimple).In the process of finding Fanny they discover the real essence of fun and love in their lives.

The actors have depicted the Goan characters very well. Arjun Kapoor has adopted a complete Goan look for the movie. Deepika would be seen in a bold avatar and a complete contrast to her character in Ramleela. The veteran actors Naseruddin Shan and Pankaj Kapoor would add the spark of comedy in the movie and the actress Dimple Kapadia has adopted a funny look for the movie.

The music of the movie is composed by none other than Sachin Jigar,Mathias Dupplessy and Sachin Gupta. The track ‘Fanny re’ and ‘Shake your Bootiyan’ has already become a hit. The soundtrack of the movie has been released on 19th August, 2014.
