Natural Treatments for Severe Acne

Acne is like those relatives that no matter how irritating they are, we cannot avoid. They visit us very often, majorly during our teenage and leave their indelible prints.
Instead to coating the stubborn acne on your face with makeup or applying chemically treated medicines and making the condition worse, you may resort to any of the following seven natural remedies. Natural way-outs may take time to heal, but they ensure you flawless skin.

1. Turmeric

Turmeric is a blessing for our skin. It is not unknown that an Indian wedding is incomplete without the traditional ‘haldi’ (turmeric) ceremony. Brides and their grooms apply a turmeric mask before their marriage to flaunt flawless skin on The-Day. To prepare a turmeric mask, mix half a cup of chickpea flour with two teaspoons of turmeric powder. Add a little quantity each of sandalwood powder and clarified butter or almond oil. Mix all ingredients with adequate water to make a fine paste (not too concentrated or dilute). Apply the turmeric mask to acne and let it rest for 10 minutes. Rub to remove the mask and rinse with water.

2. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is packed with natural inflammation-fighting properties. All you need to do is add few drops of tea tree oil and witch hazel and apply it to your acne twice a day.

3. Honey

Alternatively, you can also use oatmeal, which also contains healing powers. To prepare a honey-oatmeal mask, begin by mixing half cup of honey with one cup of plain oatmeal. Apply it on your face and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse gently.
