movie review jagga jasoos

Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Sayani Gupta, Saswata Chatterjee
Director: Anurag Basu
Rating: 3.5/5

As trusted in the Direction on Anurag Basu, the movie comes out well-promised.

Ravi Barman’s cinematography skill helps us dive into the world of Jagga and lets us get a good tour of it.

The movie is showcased as chapters from a comic book. The movie has a teacher, Shruti and a class full of students to whom she is narrating the story.

Jagga (Ranbir Kapoor) has an ever-wandering mind and it is shown perfectly as he portrays the role of a kid. It has an amazing opening to let you know about his out of the way ideas and also get a glimpse about his loneliness.
The movie is basically about Jagga’s search for his foster father. In this search mission he is accompanied by Shruti (Katrina Kaif). She has been given just enough dialogues as much as it should have been given to keep her character on the go.

Jagga stammers when he speaks and so Basu gave it a way in which he could speak properly when he sang.
The first half of the movie seems to be more captivating then the second half. If you have ever watched any Harry Potter movie and enjoyed it then you will feel the same when watching this movie.

The role played by Saswata Chatterjee can make you teary-eyed at times. Ranbir Kapoor has played his role distinguishably and remarkably well. He is the knight of the story.

The music of the film is very soothing to the ears and the shot locations have scenic beauty. Pritam has done a fine job indeed.

There’s enough reason why you should go ahead and watch the movie yourself. I assure you it will pay off.
